Membership Is the
Foundation of the Work
Windwalker is run entirely by volunteers. Membership dues fund the credentialing, education, and community programs that put therapy teams into schools, hospitals, courts, and care facilities across Rhode Island.
Membership is also the first step for anyone who wants to work as a therapy team. Only active members can be credentialed by Windwalker.

How the Membership Year Works

Dues Open in January
Membership runs on the calendar year. Dues for the upcoming year become payable each January.

Pay by March 31
Dues must be received by March 31 to hold active status for the year. This is the date that matters most.

You Are an Active Member
Active status connects you to the coalition and to everyone advancing the profession across the state.

Credentialing Opens
Only active members can be credentialed. With dues current, you and your pet can begin the credentialing path.

Nobody at Windwalker draws a salary. Every dollar of membership goes directly into the programs and the standards that make credentialed pet assisted therapy possible in Rhode Island.

If you would rather send a check or money order than pay online, submit your membership details first so we know it is coming, then mail your dues.

Send us your name, contact information, and which membership you are joining at, so we can match your dues when they arrive.
